Before you register

You must be an ATA member first

Tournament registration runs through the Alberta Taekwondo Association online system. You cannot enter the competition until your membership is active.

Athletes

  • Must be an active member in good standing with their Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization and Taekwondo Canada (if Canadian residents).
  • Alberta Taekwondo membership is mandatory for all athletes. It provides liability insurance, which protects athletes throughout the tournament season and ensures access to medical treatment.

Coaches

  • Must be an active member in good standing with their Provincial/Territorial Sport Organization and Taekwondo Canada (if Canadian residents).
  • Alberta Taekwondo membership is mandatory for all coaches.

Events offered

High performance events are black belt only. Recreation events are open to all belt levels.

Sport poomsae athletes may register in a maximum of three poomsae events.

All belt levels

Recreation

  • Recreation Kyorugi
  • Recreation Poomsae

Recreation poomsae athletes may only register in one poomsae event.

You cannot enter both streams for the same event

Athletes may not register for both High Performance and Recreation in the same event. For example, a black belt student cannot register in both High Performance Kyorugi and Recreation Kyorugi. See the full rules and divisions →

One flat fee per athlete, based on how many events they enter. All amounts in Canadian dollars.

To change the event(s) you entered, contact redphoenixtkdgroup@gmail.com. An additional coach beyond the dojang allocation is $50 per person.

Step by step

How to register

Membership first, then payment, then the DojangPro entry form. Registration fees are non-refundable.

  1. Acquire your Alberta Taekwondo membership for your belt level. Out-of-province athletes and coaches email admin@taekwondoalberta.com for a free membership.
  2. Send the e-transfer for your athlete fee to mastercha@redpx.com, and record the confirmation number.
  3. Use the link or QR code to open the DojangPro registration page.
  4. Follow the directions and fill in the required information before November 8, 2026.

Get your details right

Make sure every field is complete and accurate — especially event(s), birth year, weight (kg), height (cm), belt level, gender and poomsae. This is what produces safe and fair brackets.

  • Poomsae teams and pairs: include the full name of your partner or teammates.
  • No registrations or event/weight changes are accepted onsite.

Know the rules for your division.

Weight classes, equipment, weigh-in times and awards differ between the high performance and recreation streams.
